Fox to cure “Islamophobia” with Muslim sitcom | Jihad Watch

Robert Spencer in PJ Media: Fox to cure “Islamophobia” with Muslim sitcom

Over at PJ Media I discuss the imminent arrival of the long-awaited Muslim situation comedy:

nasim-pedrad

Here it is at last: the long-desired Muslim family situation comedy that is going to cure “Islamophobia” by showing racist, ignorant, xenophobic Americans that, hey, Muslims are just like us. Deadline Hollywood reported last week:

Fox has given a late pilot order to Chad: An American Boy, a single-camera Middle Eastern family comedy co-created by and starring Saturday Night Live alumna Nasim Pedrad and directed by Jason Winer.…

[A] 14-year-old boy (Pedrad) in the throes of adolescence is tasked with being the man of the house, which leaves him with all the responsibilities of being an adult without any of the perks.

Pedrad is actually a 34-year-old woman. She made the intention of the show abundantly clear:

I’m thrilled to be able to portray a Middle Eastern family not working for or against Jack Bauer on network TV.

This show has been a long time coming. Katie Couric called for it during the Ground Zero Mosque controversy, saying that America needed a Muslim Cosby Show. Now that Bill Cosby is so resoundingly discredited, Reza Aslan, with his typical clumsiness, called for a Muslim All in the Family, apparently not realizing that the central character of that show was held up as a bigoted object of ridicule.

But clearly both calls meant the same thing: if Americans could just see Muslims outside of the context of jihad terrorism, they would love them, and “Islamophobia” would evanesce.

Then Barack Obama said last week at the Islamic Society of Baltimore:

Our TV shows should have Muslim characters that are unrelated to national security.

The fallacy of this reasoning? When The Cosby Show aired, there were no international black terror groups mounting terror attacks in the U.S. and around the world, boasting of their imminent conquest of the country. The suspicion that Americans have of Islam comes from jihad terror and Islamic supremacism, not from racism and bigotry.

Americans know this distinction despite the best efforts of Couric, Aslan, and others to obscure it, to make people feel guilt for opposing jihad terror. Some slick TV show depicting funny, warm, attractive, cuddly Muslims would not end jihad terror, or blunt concern about it — it would only serve to further the idea that resisting jihad violence was somehow “bigoted.”

Nonetheless, now we have it. Will it work? Will it make Americans drop their concerns about jihad terror? Unlikely. The whole idea that Muslims are threatened, harassed, and discriminated against in the U.S. is a creation of the Islamic advocacy industry, which knows well how well it pays to be a victim in the U.S. today.

Those groups — Hamas-linked CAIR, ISNA, MPAC, and the rest — will still need to play the victimhood game even while this sitcom is running, and after its run has ended. So we will continue to see fake hate crimes and claims of discrimination, and the failure of this show to stem the tide of “Islamophobia” will be touted as a reason why Muslims deserve special privileges and the further weakening of counter-terror measures.

Meanwhile, how a 34-year-old woman is going to be convincing playing a 14-year-old boy is an open question, but whether or not Nasim Pedrad can pull it off, it is noteworthy that this Muslim sitcom will feature a 14-year-old boy who has to serve as the man of the house. That suggests that it will not feature the individual who is the center and dominant figure of most real Muslim families: an adult male.

That makes it likely that the show will not depict in any remotely realistic manner the way women are treated in observant Muslim homes….

My Thoughts on it……

I would like to point out, as Robert did in the story, their seemingly will be no male “Head of the Household” character from their description. So naturally their will be nothing realistic about the show. It will not have to deal with the complete and total submission of women and their not being allowed to get an education………….genital mutilations and honor killings. I wonder if they will attend the local mosque where jihad will be front and center. Do you think CAIR will represent them in any lawsuits against America and it’s laws???

I’ve got it!!! They can have an episode where the 14 year old “boy” builds a device looking just like a timer operated bomb, and a teacher at the school can get alarmed and call authorities to examine the device, and afterwards the boy can get invited to the White House for being such a genius, and CAIR can represent him in the $15,000,000 lawsuit!!!

Nawwwwww………….. it’s been done!!!

France to Shut Down 100 to 160 Mosques; War-grade Weapons Found in Some | The New American

George W. Bush and others have often emphasized that Islam is a “religion of peace.” Others view Islam as a “religion of the sword,” and they include traditionalist-minded Muslims and mosques. This is evident after the French government recently raided Muslim houses of worship in the country and found “one third of the quantity of war-grade weapons that are normally seized in a year,” as Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve put it.

The mosques implicated themselves “because they are run illegally without proper licenses, they preach hatred, or use takfiri speech,” Hassan El Alaoui, one of France’s chief imams, toldAl Jazeera on Wednesday; “takfiri” speech is that which levels accusations of apostasy at other Muslims. El Alaoui also reported that the government will shut down between 100 and 160 mosques, approximately five percent of the nation’s 2,600 total. In addition, authorities searched 2,235 Muslim businesses and homes and arrested 232 individuals.

In the wake of the November 13 Paris jihadist attacks that killed 130 people, however, it was the hardware found that was especially alarming. Writes Christine Niles at ChurchMilitant.com:

[S]everal of these [100-plus] mosques have been raided, revealing a “staggering” number of weapons and ammunition. Sunday, authorities conducted a raid on a mosque in Lagny-sur-Marne, 18 miles east of Paris, and uncovered 334 weapons and a large quantity of 7.62mm Kalashnikov ammunition, along with ISIS propaganda videos.

Police also turned up recordings of chants “glorifying the martyrs of jihad linked to the terrorist organization Jabhat al-Nusra,” the Syrian branch of Al-Qaeda. The chants were found among teaching materials for youth in a madrassa, or private religious school for boys, connected to the mosque.

Although this story has not been widely reported, it should further fuel debate about the nature of Islam and the effects of wide-scale Muslim migration into the West. This has been a major topic recently, with presidential contender Donald Trump suggesting that Muslim immigration should be suspended until we can “figure out what’s going on.”

And with the West being awash in relativism — and its correlative religious-equivalence doctrine, stating that all religions are morally equal — broaching this topic brings accusations of bigotry and “Islamophobia.” But Truth doesn’t bend to political correctness, and there’s certainly something “going on.” Consider, for instance, a German study released in 2010 and which involved 45,000 young people. It found that while increasing religiosity among Christian youths made them less violent, increasing religiosity among Muslim ones actually made them more violent.

And anecdotes to this effect abound. The Daily Telegraphreports today about 18-year-old Australian convert to Islam Alo-Bridget Namoa, who is allegedly now a supporter of Da’esh (ISIS), prays five times daily to Allah, and has said referring to herself and her Muslim husband, “I want to do an Islamic Bonnie and Clyde on the kaffir” (non-Muslim). The Daily Mailtold the story yesterday of 33-year-old U.S. Army deserter and Muslim convert Daniel Seth Franey of Montesano, Washington, “who called Osama bin Laden ‘a beautiful man,’ made pro-Islamic State statements and called for the death of American troops,” the paper related. Then there was convert “John T. Booker Jr., 21, an American citizen also known as Mohammed Abdullah Hassan, …who vowed to ‘bring the Islamic State straight to your doorstep’ [and] pleaded guilty Wednesday to attempting to detonate a car bomb at Fort Riley military base in Kansas,” wrote CNN Feb. 4. And just two days before that, the Associated Press reported that North Carolina convert Justin Nojan Sullivan, 19, had “killed his neighbor and stole the man’s money so he could buy an assault rifle to carry out an Islamic State-inspired shooting at a concert or club”; Sullivan believed he could murder 1,000 people in his attack. Critics have dubbed these happenings “Sudden Jihad Syndrome,” and nary a week goes by — and maybe not even a day — without an instance of one occurring.

But while this phenomenon can seem sudden, it’s not new. As Professor Thomas F. Madden, chair of the Department of History at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri, wrote in his 2002 essay “The Real History of the Crusades”:

While Muslims can be peaceful, Islam was born in war and grew the same way. From the time of Mohammed, the means of Muslim expansion was always the sword. Muslim thought divides the world into two spheres, the Abode of Islam and the Abode of War. Christianity — and for that matter any other non-Muslim religion — has no abode. Christians and Jews can be tolerated within a Muslim state under Muslim rule. But, in traditional Islam, Christian and Jewish states must be destroyed and their lands conquered.

Some Muslims readily acknowledge this, too. Also just yesterday, we learned of Muslim cleric Abu Bakar Bashir, who was convicted by an Indonesian court of conspiring with Da’esh and setting up a Jihadist training camp; writes the Deccan Chronicle of his statements in his own defense, “‘I hope judges understand that my deed of helping training camp in Aceh was my religious obligation,’ Bashir told the court. ‘I’m guilty according to the government law, but what I did is correct according to Islam.’” And then there’s what was reported just the day before. Quoting The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), Jihad Watchrelated, “In a December 15 lecture about ISIS at the American University in Beirut, Abdel Bari Atwan, former editor-in-chief of ‘Al-Quds Al-Arabi’ and the current editor-in-chief of ‘Al-Rai Al-Youm’ rejected common claims that the savagery of ISIS is alien to Islam, presenting examples of similar conduct from Islamic history. Atwan said that the West faces two options: to contain ISIS or to destroy it.”

Of course, some may say the West has cultivated the worst of both worlds: disrupting the Mideast with misguided military endeavors while not containing Da’esh. And considering how Christendom is admitting countless thousands of impossible-to-vet Muslim migrants, these critics may ask, “How does it make sense for the West to send soldiers to fight in the Middle East if we’re going to bring the Middle East to the West?”

Unfortunately, what’s really “going on” isn’t hard to figure out: Awash in relativism, multiculturalism, and diversity doctrine, a morally confused Occident is facilitating “the soft Islamic conquest of the West,” as Muslim refugee Dr. Mudar Zahran put it last October. What Muslims “couldn’t do in the last 20 years,” he explained, “now the West is doing for us for free — and even paying for it.”

And pay for it we will.

Obama at Baltimore mosque quoted Muhammad from speech endorsing caliphate and beheading | Jihad Watch

From Jihad Watch

Obama at Baltimore mosque quoted Muhammad from speech endorsing caliphate and beheading

Obama said: “Whoever wants to enter paradise, the Prophet Muhammad taught, ‘let him treat people the way he would love to be treated.’”

That saying comes from this hadith:

It has been narrated on the authority of ‘Abd al-Rahman b. Abd Rabb al-Ka’ba who said:

I entered the mosque when ‘Abdullah b. ‘Amr b. al-‘As was sitting in the shade of the Ka’ba and the people had gathered around him. I betook myself to them and sat near him. (Now) Abdullah said: I accompanied the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on a journey. We halted at a place. Some of us began to set right their tents, others began to compete with one another in shooting, and others began to graze their beasts, when an announcer of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) announced that the people should gather together for prayer, so we gathered around the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). He said: It was the duty of every Prophet that has gone before me to guide his followers to what he knew was good for them and warn them against what he knew was bad for them; but this Umma of yours has its days of peace and (security) in the beginning of its career, and in the last phase of its existence it will be afflicted with trials and with things disagreeable to you. (In this phase of the Umma), there will be tremendous trials one after the other, each making the previous one dwindle into insignificance. When they would be afflicted with a trial, the believer would say: This is going to bring about my destruction. When at (the trial) is over, they would be afflicted with another trial, and the believer would say: This surely is going to be my end. Whoever wishes to be delivered from the fire and enter the garden should die with faith in Allah and the Last Day and should treat the people as he wishes to be treated by them. He who swears allegiance to a Caliph should give him the piedge [sic] of his hand and the sincerity of his heart (i. e. submit to him both outwardly as well as inwardly). He should obey him to the best of his capacity. It another man comes forward (as a claimant to Caliphate), disputing his authority, they (the Muslims) should behead the latter. The narrator says: I came close to him (‘Abdullah b. ‘Amr b. al-‘As) and said to him: Can you say on oath that you heard it from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)? He pointed with his hands to his ears and his heart and said: My ears heard it and my mind retained it. I said to him: This cousin of yours, Mu’awiya, orders us to unjustly consume our wealth among ourselves and to kill one another, while Allah says:” O ye who believe, do not consume your wealth among yourselves unjustly, unless it be trade based on mutual agreement, and do not kill yourselves. Verily, God is Merciful to you” (iv. 29). The narrator says that (hearing this) Abdullah b. ‘Amr b. al-As kept quiet for a while and then said: Obey him in so far as he is obedient to God; and diqobey [sic] him in matters involving disobedience to God.

Immediately following the passage Obama quoted comes an exhortation to obey the caliph and to behead rival claimants. So embedded within the very same passage that Obama was using are endorsements of ideas that Obama would probably reject as having nothing to do with authentic Islam. It is extremely unlikely, of course, that Obama has seen this passage, but his (i.e., his speechwriters’) use of this quotation follows the same pattern as his use of Qur’an 5:32: he quotes selectively (although no Muslims are accusing him of “cherry-picking”!), ignoring inconveniently violent passages that are right next to the passage he quotes.

Is it not extremely telling that Barack Obama, in making the case that Islam teaches peace, can’t find even a few passages that are unequivocally peaceful, and instead has to grab his peaceful passages from amid exhortations to violence? Doesn’t that tell us something about Islam as a whole — something that Obama and the Western political and media establishment will never tell us?

Obama at Islamic Society of Baltimore, Allah

From Obama’s speech last Wednesday at the Islamic Society of Baltimore:

So let’s start with this fact: For more than a thousand years, people have been drawn to Islam’s message of peace. And the very word itself, Islam, comes from salam — peace. The standard greeting is as-salamu alaykum — peace be upon you. And like so many faiths, Islam is rooted in a commitment to compassion and mercy and justice and charity. Whoever wants to enter paradise, the Prophet Muhammad taught, “let him treat people the way he would love to be treated.” (Applause.) For Christians like myself, I’m assuming that sounds familiar. (Laughter.)

A note from America at War :

I’m assuming that laughter was directed at Obama’s claim to be a Christian! How many Christians do you know that cite the Q’uran? I don’t know any personally, and only know of ONE person that does it myself. That person being Barrack Hussein Obama. And you can keep your doctor too.

It’s Time for Candidates to Discuss the Enemy Within | The Counter Jihad Report

Note: I agree with the writer, Ted Cruz has introduced legislation that would designate the Muslim Brotherhood and it’s affiliate groups (ISNA, CAIR, etc….) as  terrorist organizations. I support #TedCruz, but he needs to put this legislation OUT FRONT AND CENTER in his campaign!!! This is the most important issue facing America today and Ted knows it, but he has to VOICE IT LOUDLY and just take whatever heat he gets over it, because that is what Americans want and need to hear!!!

It’s Time for Candidates to Discuss the Enemy Within

EgyptElectionsConservative Review, by Daniel Horowitz, December 28th, 2015: (h/t @PoliticalShort)

When Congress returns in January, there will be a robust debate over the authorization of use of military force (AUMF) in Syria and Iraq to fight ISIS.  But while we debate a bunch of lousy options and the potential cost of lives and billions of dollars arming our enemies in endless Islamic civil wars, the politicians in both parties will never discuss the enemy within the United States.  This is where the presidential candidates must lead by example.

Donald Trump and Ted Cruz have already drawn attention to the first half of the homeland security threat – the endless migration from the Middle East as manifest through our suicidal immigration policies.  Unfortunately, Republicans didn’t listen, and despite the universally-accepted threat of the Syrian and Somali refugees, they gave Obama the full $1.67 billion for refugee resettlement in the Omnibus bill.

However, it is the second half of the equation – the most foundational threat to our homeland and society – that has garnered almost no attention from anyone in politics.  That is the threat of the Muslim Brotherhood organizations in America that have so much influence both on the Obama administration and the Muslim communities in our country.

Three questions should automatically come to mind in light of the San Bernardino attack and the nearly daily incidents of Muslims being arrested for plotting terror attacks or attempting to join ISIS.

  1. Why is our government expunging any mention of Islamic terror from their official documents and hampering investigations into connections to local radical Muslim Brotherhood groups?
  2. Why are so few moderate Muslims speaking out against the growing trend of radicalization?
  3. Why are so many Muslims in America, even those who were born here, being drawn into groups like ISIS and Al Qaeda?

The answer to all these questions, point to the Muslim Brotherhood and the influence of their three North American affiliates that were implicated in the Holy Land Foundation terror trial: the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), and the North American Islamic Trust.

Last Wednesday, I had the privilege of guest hosting the Sean Hannity show along with my colleague, Deneen Borelli, and we discussed why the Muslim Brotherhood represents a more foundational threat to our homeland than ISIS or Al Qaeda.  They are the enemy within that radicalizes American Muslims (the ones that weren’t already radicalized), marginalizes and intimidates moderates, and influences the government to eschew any policy that even mentions Islamic terror much less policies that actually combat Islamic terror.

[My segment on the Muslim Brotherhood can be found here.  You will hear national security expert, Patrick Poole, discuss how this problem started long before the Obama administration.]

This is why we need the GOP candidates to step up to the plate.  But until now they have largely been silent.  Ted Cruz has introduced an important piece of legislation, which would designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terror group, but he needs to make this issue more front and center in his campaign.

Just last week, U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron took the unprecedented step to designate the Muslim Brotherhood a terror group after his government launched an exhaustive study into their activities.  They will now ban visas to Muslim Brotherhood officials and increase surveillance of their offices.   If the liberal Europeans are willing to protect themselves and root out their enemy within, cannot our “conservative” leaders muster the same courage?

Not surprisingly, Obama condemned Cameron’s move as a needless de-legitimizing of a non-violent group.  But their use of “non-violent” means of subversion in western countries to marginalize moderates and quietly radicalize the Muslim communities and mosques is exactly what will destroy both America and Europe from the inside.

It was recently reported that the U.K. is experiencing a sharp drop off in cooperation from local Muslims in rooting out terrorists from their communities.  Undoubtedly, the Muslim Brotherhood intimidation is a big part of this deterrent against cooperating with the authorities.

Earlier this month, Phil Haney, a former DHS counterterrorism official, wrote an expose on how he was stifled from connecting the dots between some of the very same foreign terror groups Tafsheen Malik was affiliated with and local Muslim groups in America:

“But after more than six months of research and tracking; over 1,200 law enforcement actions and more than 300 terrorists identified; and a commendation for our efforts; DHS shut down the investigation at the request of the Department of State and DHS’ own Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Division. They claimed that since the Islamist groups in question were not Specially Designated Terrorist Organizations (SDTOs) tracking individuals related to these groups was a violation of the travelers’ civil liberties. These were almost exclusively foreign nationals: When were they granted the civil rights and liberties of American citizens?Worse still, the administration then went back and erased the dots we were diligently connecting. Even as DHS closed my investigation, I knew that data I was looking at could prove significant to future counterterror efforts and tried to prevent the information from being lost to law enforcement.”

It’s not surprising that DHS’s Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Division (CRCL) was responsible for shutting down the investigation.  CRCL is the nexus for the Muslim Brotherhood influence in our government.  In 2008, under the Bush administration, then-DHS Secretary Michael Chertoff drafted a memo for CRCL that called on government officials to strip all references of Islamic supremacism from their training.  This memo was drafted, in the words of Chertoff, based on “its discussions with a broad range of Muslim American community leaders and scholars.”  In 2011, based on the same recommendations of these Muslim Brotherhood “scholars,” DHS published its training and guidance manual on the Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) agenda.  The manual instructs the bureaucrats to use examples to “demonstrate that terrorists and violent extremists vary in ethnicity, race, gender, and religion.”

If ISIS is the new quarterback for Islamic terror, the Muslim Brotherhood is their all-star offensive linemen. In theory the United States should have a great defensive line capable of overwhelming ISIS’ strategy. But with our very own Department of Homeland Security playing ball for the Muslim Brotherhood, the fox appears to be guarding the henhouse.

Surviving an Active Shooter Event

thI was doing a little research earlier and found a video called “Run, Hide, Fight”. It was posted by the Houston, Texas Mayors Office, and links to the FBI website. I thought it somewhat peculiar, but wanted to pass it along and offer criticism.

https://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cirg/active-shooter-and-mass-casualty-incidents/run-hide-fight-video

From that page :

This video, recently produced by the Houston Mayor’s Office of Public Safety and Homeland Security, dramatizes an active shooter incident in the workplace. Its purpose is to educate the public on how to respond during such an incident. Warning: The initial sequence in this video may be disturbing.

Transcript:

Narrator: It may feel like just another day at the office.

A series of shots shows a standard office. People work at cubicles. One desk has an American flag.

But occasionally, life feels more like an action movie than reality.

A muscular man dressed in all black, wearing sunglasses and carrying a backpack, walks towards the office building. Inside the building, the employees are still going about their daily tasks. A security guard talks with a woman. A visitor greets a staff member.

Narrator: The authorities are working hard to protect you and to protect our public spaces.

Two employees say hello to each other and get into the elevator.

Narrator: But sometimes, bad people do bad things.

We cut back to the sidewalk outside, as we continue to see the man in black approaching the building. As he walks, a series of facts are displayed on the screen.

Caption: 21 killed, 19 wounded at a fast food restaurant. 32 killed, 25 wounded while attending class.

Narrator: Their motivations are different.

Caption: 6 killed, 13 wounded at a shopping center.

The man in black starts up the steps to the glass front doors of the building.

Caption: 13 killed, 29 wounded while at work.

Narrator: The warning signs may vary, but the devastating effects are the same.

The man in black opens the front door of the building. As he enters, we see a notice on the glass prohibiting the carrying of concealed handguns in the building under penalty of trespass.

Narrator: … and unfortunately, you need to be prepared for the worst.

The camera pans past a series of people at their desks and stops in front of the elevator, where the security guard is talking with an employee. The man in black walks past the guard, removes a shotgun from his backpack, turns around, and shoots the security guard and two employees. More shots are fired. A woman at a photocopier hears the noise and looks around.

Narrator: If you are to ever find yourself in the middle of an active shooter event, your survival may depend on whether or not you have a plan.

The man in black stops shooting in the lobby and starts walking off.

Narrator: The plan doesn’t have to be complicated.

A man in a purple shirt looks up, startled. A woman hangs up a phone and looks down the hallway at the commotion.

Narrator: The plan doesn’t have to be complicated. There are three things you could do that make a difference: Run. Hide. Fight.

The woman who was on the phone stands up, moves into the hallway, and looks scared. Another woman, wearing pink, sits at her desk with an alarmed look on her face. She then gets out of her chair and moves under her desk.

Narrator: First and foremost, if you can get out, do.

The man in purple starts running down the hallway. He grabs the woman who was on the phone and continues moving towards the exit.

Narrator: Always try and escape or evacuate, even when others insist on staying.

The man in purple and the woman who was on the phone pass the cubicle of the woman in pink. They help her up and the three continue moving towards the exit.

Narrator: Encourage others to leave with you, but don’t let them slow you down with indecision.

The man in purple stops, looks around a corner, then continues to lead the two women out. The woman in pink looks very afraid, but the other woman encourages her to keep going. The three employees enter the stairwell and start moving up the stairs.

Narrator: Remember what’s important: you, not your stuff. Leave your belongings behind, and try to find a way to get out safely.

The three employees leave the building through an emergency exit. The camera turns to a mechanical area behind the building, where another man is locking a bicycle to a bike rack.

Narrator: Trying to get yourself out of harm’s way needs to be your number one priority.

The three employees come around a bend and take shelter behind a cinderblock wall protecting mechanical equipment. They are now out of sight of the front of the building and the emergency exit.

The man with the bicycle has headphones off, and walks off, looking at his phone. The man in purple runs out and gets the bicyclist’s attention. One of the women screams “hey” at the cyclist.

Narrator: Once you are out of the line of fire, try to prevent others from walking into the danger zone and call 911.

The man in purple leads the cyclist back to the area where the employees are sheltering. The woman who had been on the telephone calls the police from her cell phone. The woman in pink is still panicking, but remains with the group.

Caption: RUN. When an active shooter is in your vicinity:

· If there is an escape path, attempt to evacuate.

· Evacuate whether others agree to or not.

· Leave your belongings behind.

· Help others escape if possible.

· Prevent others from entering the area.

· Call 9-1-1 when you are safe.

The camera cuts back to the office, where we see the woman who was at the photocopier. She looks out the door, but quickly ducks back into the room.

Narrator: If you can’t get out safely, you need to find a place to hide.

The woman from the copier closes the copy room door and looks around the room. The camera cuts to a group sitting in the break room. More shots ring out. The employees in the break room stop talking and begin to look around. They all rise from the table at the same time. A man in a brown suit motions for the group to stay still for a minute, and a woman in red says “oh my gosh.” The man in the suit looks out into the hallway and sees other people running at the far end of the hallway. He moves back into the break room and closes the door. Another man, in a blue shirt, signals the others to stay quiet as he and a man in yellow move the table to barricade the door.

Narrator: Act quickly and quietly. Try to secure your hiding place the best you can.

The camera cuts back to the copy room, where the woman at the photocopier moves the machine in front of the door. She then shuts off the lights and pulls out a cell phone.

Narrator: Turn out lights, and if possible, remember to lock doors. Silence your ringer and vibration mode on your cell phone.

The woman in the copy room slides the ringer volume control on her phone to silent, then turns the vibrate mode off. The camera cuts to the shooter, who is walking through a set of cubicles. The employees are all in hiding or have left the building. He reaches for a doorknob, but finds it

locked and moves on.

Narrator: And if you can’t find a safe room or closet, try to conceal yourself behind large objects that may protect you.

The camera shows the woman in the copy room crouched in the corner between the wall and the copier, her eyes closed, silent.

Narrator: Do your best to remain quiet and calm.

Caption: HIDE. If an evacuation is not possible, find a place to hide.

· Lock and/or blockade the door.

· Silence your cell phone.

· Hide behind large objects.

· Remain very quiet.

Caption: Your hiding place should:

· Be out of the shooter’s view.

· Provide protection of shots are fired in your direction.

· Not trap or restrict your options for movement.

The music switches from suspenseful to a faster tempo. The camera switches to the break room, where the group of employees realize that they are in trouble.

Narrator: As a last resort, if your life is at risk, whether you’re alone or working together as a group, fight! Act with aggression. Improvise weapons. Disarm him.

The employees in the break room try to calm the woman who is panicking, and begin organizing themselves. The man in yellow picks up a chair. He looks apprehensive, but moves towards the door. The panicking woman moves into a corner. The man in brown stands to the side of the door, holding a fire extinguisher above his head, ready to swing. He silently mouths to the others, asking if they’re ready.

Narrator: … and commit to taking the shooter down, no matter what.

The shooter enters the break room holding an assault rifle, and the employees attack. Two employees are holding coffee mugs, while the other two start to swing with the fire extinguisher and chair.

Caption: FIGHT. As a last resort, and only if your life is in danger:

· Attempt to incapacitate the shooter.

· Act with physical aggression.

· Improvise weapons.

· Commit to your actions.

The tempo of the background music slows, as the camera cuts back to the exterior of a building. Three more employees exit, and the group in the mechanical area gets their attention, directing them to the hiding place.

Narrator: Try to be aware of your environment. Always have an exit plan.

The camera cuts back to the interior of the building. The police have arrived. Some are patrol officers, wearing blue uniforms. Others are part of the SWAT team, wearing camouflage fatigues and helmets. All the officers are holding assault rifles. They are entering in a tactical formation, with some officers looking forward while others check to the sides and behind them. They stay as a tight group.

Narrator: Know that in an incident like this, victims are generally chosen randomly. The event is unpredictable and may evolve quickly.

The officers begin entering offices one by one, searching for the shooter. They pass a man lying on the ground, continuing to search for the man in black.

Narrator: The first responders on the scene are not there to evacuate or tend to the injured. They are well-trained, and are there to stop the shooter.

The music changes to a more upbeat, militaristic march. The police continue to do a room-by-room search as they pass by more casualties. Officers check each stall in a bathroom before moving down another hallway.

Caption: 9-1-1. When law enforcement arrives:

· Remain calm and follow instructions.

· Keep your hands visible at all times.

· Avoid pointing or yelling.

· Know that help for the injured is on its way.

The front door of the building slams open and more employees pour out. They are running with their hands in the air, palms facing forward to demonstrate that they are not holding any weapons. A man assists others as they round a bend on an exterior stairwell. We then see a shot of a fire engine parked in front of the building.

Narrator: Your actions can make a difference for your safety and survival. Be aware and be prepared.

More people leave the front door as a firefighter directs them towards a rallying point. More people are running down the exterior stairwell. As he rounds a landing, a man removes his suit jacket, but does not slow down. Other employees, including the group from the break room, are crouched on the ground by the fire engine, out of breath, but uninjured.

Narrator: And if you find yourself faced with an active shooter, there are three key things you need to remember to survive: Run. Hide. Fight.

The camera pans across the employees congregated by the fire engine. Many are talking with one another. Others are on cell phones. A firefighter moves past, giving directions as the screen fades to black.

Hold on…………..Let me silence my cell phone ringer

I’m glad to see the government is trying, but I have to be honest with you, I may not follow all of their advice!!!

Every situation is unique. In the FBI video they say to only “FIGHT. As a last resort, and only if your life is in danger“.    Well I think we crossed into the “My life is in DANGER!” zone the minute someone started popping off caps in the building I’m occupying! Don’t you agree?

If there is any way possible I’m capping the gunman off even if I’m not armed, and I’d hope to be armed. But even if you are not armed there is no reason for 5 or 10 or even 15 people to sit back and wait to get shot!!!

I agree with taking cover if possible but all the “barricade yourself in a room and silence your cell phone ringer” stuff is a little far-fetched in most mass shooting scenarios. Should we order a pizza maybe???

If someone is shooting everyone they see, they are going to empty a magazine fairly quickly. And that is when he’s mine. And if you are all close enough to the shooter to jump on him, you have to stay clear of the muzzle but 2 or 3 people could easily disarm a gunman if they are close, especially if he has a rifle.

This video reminds me of the famous advice for rape victims “urinate on yourself“. I think AWARENESS of what to do in a scenario like this is important. If there are 10 people close to the gunman and he is shooting everyone you may as well all jump on him!

If you are lucky you’ll be in Texas or another gun-friendly state and lots of good guys will have guns, bringing your gunman’s killing career to an abrupt end with some hot lead. The way to stop bad guys with guns is with GOOD GUYS WITH GUNS! Arm yourselves and be prepared. Discuss the scenario and how you will react with family and friends.

If you are serious about staying alive during an “active shooter” crisis I would recommend arming yourself and maybe checking out something a little more realistic. I found this video earlier, and I like how it demonstrates that a woman can disarm an active shooter by using any opportunity. Something like this would be far more helpful than the FBI video in my opinion. I found these on Youtube, which stress some important factors.

Dealing with an Active Shooter in the Workplace

Hopefully it will be something you never need. Once you create your “plan of action” be sure to share it with friends and family members, those who you’ll likely be with when something like this kicks off. It’s important everyone is on the same page.

And I personally think that we as Americans all need to take the Flight 93 pledge, and if something like this does happen then “Let’s Roll!!!” Because quite honestly, peeing on yourself won’t save anyone.

Ted Cruz Is the One Candidate Who Can Face down Washington — And Win

tedSource: The Counter Jihad Report

National Review, by Andrew McCarthy, Dec. 5, 2015:

To protect American national security we must first understand what threatens American national security. We must grasp who our enemies are, what animates them, and how they work together — despite their internecine rivalries — to destroy us from without and within. We must stop trying to define “true Islam” and start restoring our own principles as our guide: liberty, equality of opportunity, the rule of law, and peace through strength.

The vast majority of Americans still believe in these principles. It is Washington that has lost faith. It is Washington that looks at liberty’s enemies and sees friends; that looks at anti-Western Islamic supremacists and sees “moderates” it can play ball with; that looks at lawbreakers and tut-tuts that “the system is broken.”

Reinvigorating American principles will require taming Washington. It calls for restoring the Constitution as a vital limit on government, not a relic . . . or an obstacle.

Ted Cruz gets this. Many Republicans talk the talk — we hear it in every election season, right up until it is time to stop campaigning and start governing. Senator Cruz walks the walk. That is why I believe he should be the next president of the United States.

Cruz understands that the most immediate enemy the United States confronts on the world stage is Islamic supremacism, which ignites jihadist violence through its state sponsors, terror networks, and activist organizations. The senator has not just fought against President Obama’s disastrous Iran deal, which enriches the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism while making it a threshold nuclear power. Cruz has concurrently pushed for the designation, at long last, of the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization.

The Shiite and Sunni branches of radical Islam have their differences with each other, but they are united in opposition to America, Israel, and the West. They are tied together by a common ideology: Islamic supremacism and its totalitarian legal code, sharia. The Shiite supremacist regime in Iran, its Hezbollah militias,

America and God stand with you Israel

Every American President has stood with Israel, they are America’s closest and dearest ally in the world today. With that being said, Obama the anti-Semite muslim is now in office. He helps Israel’s enemies while hurting our ally Israel. Think about that. He helps our enemies while hurting our allies!!! I for one have seen enough. I believe the time for talk is over. It is time for America and Americans to take action against this man before his destruction of America is complete. Before he came to office, I was not a political person at all!!! But I love my country, and I want to defend the Constitution which defends our country. This President only seeks to side step the Constitution. He is a Constitutional Scholar folks. He studied the Constitution so he could find ways around the protection it provides for America. He wishes only to destroy America, nothing more, and nothing less. If you love this country I strongly suggest that you act TODAY to defend it. You need to go to ACLJ.org  RIGHT NOW!!! And sign the petitions they have going, ALL of them!!! Then you should write to your representatives in Congress DAILY until they do something about this!!! You can locate them here : http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/ Please go to bat for our friends in Israel. Please go to bat for America. Please stop doing nothing, and start doing something every day to protect our country from this attack.
