The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has passed in time for the Christmas season regulations that require the registry of all drones weighing between 0.55 to 50 pounds. The name and address of the drones owners will go into a database (what else is new), information of which will be available to the public.
The public, of course, will be able to search the U. S. drone database by the owner of the drone’s id number of the drone that must be stamped on each individual drone. Am I the only one concerned with privacy issues or did the FAA dangle making that information available to public as a carrot to pull this registry and the regulation of drones off. ($$$$)
Many commercial drones, including those purchased over the holidays, must now be registered.
